THE PROJECT JIMARS HAS BEEN FUNCTIONING EFFECTIVELY FOR THE LAST 38 YEARS AND HAS TILL DATE IN 2017 SERVED MORE THAN 10 LAKH PERSONS MOSTLY PERSONS WITH DISABILITY

Vision

TO ESTABLISH A NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF PHYSICAL MEDICINE AND REHABILITATION

To, Teach, Research & innovate, Share, Learn to creating outstanding students who would carry forward knowledge, set ethical standards , innovate and spread care ,hope and untiringly towards national goals, scientific expertise in the concerned fields .& Serve Persons with Disability and disease scientifically, with empathy, particularly the economically deprived.

To Rehabilitate Persons with Disability, and affiliated conditions and mainstream them and also provide care to persons with affiliated conditions.

MISSION

To share and spread knowledge (Human Resource Development), to research and disseminate and enhance the quantum of knowledge in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Sciences – Both Applied and Basic Sciences
To set up an Institute for the same.
Care for Persons with Disability, and Rehabilitate them , to enter the mainstream of life in as much as possible. diseases, the ill, injured, aged the distressed, with concern for the economically under privileged.
Freedom from Disease and Disability.
To create an environment and inculcate in the children and Youth a positive attitude, and encourage them to have a heathy mind and body and also care for those in need., a sense of Innovation, an attitude of adopting Science and technology, and adventure to make our Country & the world a better place to live in.

OBJECTIVES

To Develop JIMARS – Jyoti Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation into a National Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Sciences.
Human Resource generation in the Core areas mentioned above including affiliated branches.
Conduct Research – Applied and Basic & innovate in the above fields.
To control, manage, and cure where such conditions which cause disability and prevent them.
To Rehabilitate and Care Persons with Disability and diseases to, deliver quality, cost effective, and allied specialties, with particular emphasis for care of the marginalized.
To carry out necessary steps for prevention of Disease and Disability.
To Integrate Indigenous systems of Medical and Health Care as an intrinsic part of the total Health Care System rendering it people friendly and cost effective.
To create the above and couple it with social and community development services in Rural and urban areas, threatened by change and growth in core sectors like Traffic, Accidents, disasters and growing social /psychological issues and other similar conditions & problems affecting the infants, children, youth and aging population.
